  9. This is an update archive to change Iris V1.6 to V1.7.
  10. It uses GPatch, created by Ralph Gruner, which is included.
  11.  
  12. New in V1.7 (24-Oct-1998)
  13.  
  14. * Some changes in the "Compose message" GUI.
  15. * The texts "From" etc. above the message text are now underlined.
  16. * The "Complete" line now overwrites the last "XX to go" line.
  17. * ARexx commands not coming from scripts are now recognised.
  18. * Very long headers caused trouble.
  19. * Iris now uses asyncio.library V39+ (only for base64 encoding yet).
  20. * Base64 encoding speed increased (assembly code).
  21. * Iris now puts "<newline>--<newline>" before the signature instead of just
  22.   "<newline>".
